Toy safety should be a concern for everyone…those in manufacturing as well as the consumer.
On January 10th, 2011, the Toy Industry Association (TIA) joined with 32 other associations organized by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) to submit a letter to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) requesting a one-year extension of the stay enforcement of the testing and certification requirements with regards to the lead substrate standard of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). Currently, the expiration of the stay is February 10th, 2011.
At My Doll’s Life®, we feel strongly that compliance with the new regulations is imperative, and is one of the reasons that we exclusively sell Sophia’s® brand doll clothing and accessories. Sophia’s® has been the Industry Leader in providing safety tested, lead and phthalate-free products for 18” dolls and 15” dolls. It is our commitment to our customers that products sold on Doll-Clothes.com meet all of the safety requirements established by the CPSC.
