Memorial Day is celebrated this weekend. In honor of our military, take the time to attend a parade with your favorite American doll and your family. Most communities have celebrations so you won’t have to travel far! You and your doll can make an American flag that you can wave at the parade.  All you need is some construction paper in red, white and blue, some white stick-on stars and glue or tape. Using the white craft paper, tape or glue strips of red craft paper on, leaving a small space in between each stripe.  Cut a 3 x 3 inch square of blue for the upper left corner. Add the stars and you are all set!

This weekend is Mother’s Day. For all of our mothers, past, present and those who are mother’s to be, it is a day to recognize and celebrate all that being a mother represents. If you are a mother of a youngster that has a doll, why not celebrate by sharing a tea party together. What a wonderful opportunity to spend time together creatively. Mothers who are also doll collectors can spend the day sharing their passion for dolls with friends and family. Mother’s to be may be deciding if they will one day be playing dolls together with their children. Share the joys of being a mother today…and everyday.  Happy Mother’s Day!
